When we attend our craft retreat we always start off with a shoe box swap. It gets the creative juices flowing and lets everyone settle in and the conversation flowing. For the retreat I have just returned from I chose the Cheerful Daisies for my shoe box swap.
I CASED my swap from a card made by a New Zealand Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friend Angela Meritz-Reid. I changed the base card colour and ink colours for my card. I loved Angela’s card so just had to make it for myself and have my retreat friends make it.
The small area of blended ink creates a gorgeous background to the die cut daisies.
If you don’t know what a shoe box swap is, it is basically making a card design and then cutting up a kit for each person taking part. In the box you place the kits and all the items required to make that card. It is a lot of fun and a terrific way to add extra samples to your displays.
One of my fellow crafters loved this portrait design so much she then made a landscape version. It looked fabulous so I made one too!
I am really torn as to which orientation looks the best. They both look terrific! The Cheerful Daisies Bundle is a lot of fun to work with. If you haven’t had a good look at it click on the highlighted text and check it out.
