Okay here is something a bit different from me! The lovely Karen Woods demo’d these at one of our recent craft shows and I fell in love with them. I have been doing these as a make and take item at my workshops – just with one handbag. Decided they would look good as a trio and did this one as a birthday card for one of my good friends, who loves shopping and the colour red!
To make them you use the round tab punch and fold the punched shape in half and glue it. The handles are made by punching out a small oval and then using the large oval punch punch around the hole left by the small oval punch. I hope that makes sense! The front tab of the bag is the small oval that was originally punched out folded over the and secured in place with a brad. The handles are glued or taped on the back and your handbag is done! I’ve used Raspberry Tart double sided paper here, along with Real Red, Whisper White and Pink Pirouette card. The lace edge is done using the eyelet border punch.
Hope you like it!
